Equity in Cardiovascular Health: Diabetes, Hypertension Tracking for Blood Donors
$45K Finalists

The Red Cross prioritizes enhancing health outcomes for donors in underserved communities. Through our user-friendly online platform and app, donors access longitudinal health data, including blood pressure and hemoglobin levels. Introducing hemoglobin A1C testing, our initiative involves crafting concise educational videos to highlight health data monitoring, digital provision, and awareness of health issues. This targeted approach addresses the impact of hypertension and diabetes, particularly in Black and Latino communities, positively influencing cardiovascular and kidney health.
