Be The Match
Donor For All: Using Mismatched Unrelated Donors in Cell Therapy
$45K Finalists

For many patients with blood cancer, stem cell transplantation remains the best treatment. However, many patients who require transplant cannot find a matched donor, with the greatest impact to racial/ethnic minorities.

Through a series of iterative clinical trials, NMDP is exploring whether partially matched donors could close the access gap. As a scalable, long-term solution, NMDP proposes to open a platform clinical study to collect foundational data on mismatched transplant and to study new interventions.
