Growing Our Own Researchers: Community Engaged Research on Navajo Nation
$45K Finalists

Research can be powerful and meaningful, however, in order to accomplish this, research must be approached in a respectful, thoughtful and engaging way with tribal communities. There is distrust in tribal communities when it comes to research. We would like to empower communities to have a voice when it comes to research. We will learn from community members about ways to do community-engaged research and then train students, researchers and community members on these practices.
